The hotel’s comprehensive wellness centre, Bahía Wellness Retreat, has been recognised as Best Spa Experience in Europe and the Mediterranean by the prestigious guide at a ceremony in London, coinciding with the World Travel Market
Bahía del Duque has taken home the Best Spa Experience award at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2025 in London. The luxury property, member of The Tais Hotels & Villas, has been awarded this prestigious accolade, distinguishing it as the top spa destination in Europe and the Mediterranean by the experts of this renowned guide. The awards ceremony was held in London, coinciding with the well-known World Travel Market (WTM).
These awards, which honour excellence in the global hospitality industry, are based on online votes, guest feedback, and assessments by local experts. Bahía Wellness Retreat was praised for its immersive, holistic approach, exceptional facilities, and personalised treatments, all contributing to an outstanding spa experience.
Cristina de Juan, General Manager of Bahía del Duque, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the award. “At Bahía del Duque, we remain true to our original vision of creating a world of experiences based on personalised service and respect for Canarian heritage. This award for excellence, recognising our Bahía Wellness Retreat, not only continues to place us among the world’s finest destinations but also inspires us to continue innovating and offering an unmatched experience.”
The Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence were established over two decades ago to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding hotels featured in the guide published by the same company as Vogue, GQ, Tatler, Condé Nast Traveller, and Vanity Fair. Today, these awards are a recognised mark of quality for luxury travellers and industry professionals worldwide.
A track record that places Bahía del Duque and Tenerife among the world’s top-rated destinations
This award adds to a long list of accolades, including the recent recognition from Condé Nast Traveller in The 2024 UK Readers’ Choice Awards, which named Bahía del Duque among the best resorts in Europe. It has also been distinguished by the World Luxury Hotel Awards in the categories Luxury Beach Hotel, Luxury Gourmet Hotel for Southern Europe, and Luxury Spa Hotel in Spain.
In addition, both the hotel and its spa, Bahía Wellness Retreat, have received awards such as Best Service at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2024, Best Destination Spa in 2023, Best Wellness Experience 2022 at the Beyond Luxury Awards, Spain’s Best Hotel Spa 2022 at the World Spa Awards, and the TUI Global Hotel Awards Quality.
