Bahía del Duque has been nominated for the World Spa Awards 2022 under the categories Spain’s Best Hotel Spa 2022 y Spain’s Best Wellness Retreat 2022. The organisation of these international awards has chosen Bahía Wellness Retreat, the wellness area of Bahía del Duque, hotel of The Tais Hotels & Villas, for the quality and exclusivity of the space, inspired by the natural climate and landscape of Tenerife, offering the clients a unique holistic experience. It has also nominated Bahía del Duque in the specific category of Best Hotel Spa.
This nomination positions the hotel among the best wellness experiences in the world and acknowledges the Bahía Wellness Retreat proposal within the wellness industry. The hotel has configured a «Wellness Universe«, inspired to discover relaxing and renewing experiences guided by an expert team of therapists, trainers, and physiotherapists in a wellness area that combines the relaxing power of seawater, the sun energy and the volcanic rocks.

Bahia Wellness Retreat offers an outdoor thalassotherapy circuit, starting in its relaxing Vitality Pool with a two-metre waterfall, hydromassage jets, bubble beds and the therapeutic benefits of sea water taken directly from the Atlantic Ocean. This area is complemented by a hammam, saunas, Scottish showers, a cold water pool and an outdoor solarium with shaded relaxation areas.
The place has treatment cabins outdoors, two private suites, a Kinesis, Pilates and Yoga hall, a fitness centre, a physiotherapy area, a Face-Coach service, a beauty salon and a Thai Room Spa to experience the soothing properties of traditional Asian therapies. On the other hand, the hotel’s wellness consultants have designed a 360º Immersions plan with exclusive body and facial treatments, focused on different areas with the aim of achieving a balance between body and mind.
